Can't get it to work?

Postby User74938 » Tue Jan 03, 2017 5:55 am

I can't get Geospike to work on either my iphone or ipad. After I take the photo and click use photo it just goes out of the app and back to the homescreen.

Can anyone help?

Hi

This seems to be an issue with the new iOS. I have the same problem, and all the people I know using Geospike on iOS devices as well.
It looks like the app is not maintained any more. I wonder how long the server and services will be available.

I really like to app and use it since years. Hope someone will pick it up and make is compatible to actual iOS devices again.

And now just found out that there is a new app. Same programmer / provider. Allows even to import the trips from Geospike. Makes me very happy. Wonder why no one communicated this ...
App is called GPS Log and easiest way to find in App Store is to look for Geospike and than tap on "more apps from this developer".

Have fun

After using the free version of Geospike for a couple of years I upgraded to the pro version in December 2016 when I purchased a new iphone 7. Needless to say it doesn't work and what has made m cranky is that there was no indication in iTunes that this app was out of date and had been replaced. I wonder if the developers will find a way to refund the app purchase price or put it towards the purchase of the pro version of GPS log? Or is that just wishful thinking.
